Activity points and achievement progress are independent. A member can continue progressing toward a posting achievement after reaching the daily posting points limit. Disabling a points rule or setting its amount to zero does not disable the corresponding achievement criterion.
Most achievements based on activity count eligible events recorded from that achievement’s first activation. They do not import old posts, comments, purchases, or other historical activity. Current-state criteria, such as points balance, accepted friends, and profile completion, can recognize qualifying state that already exists. Streak achievements evaluate the current streak on a qualifying visit.
Earned achievements normally remain earned when a member’s current balance, number of friends, or other qualifying count later falls. Administrators can explicitly revoke an award. Removing or refunding qualifying activity can reduce unfinished progress and can reverse activity points without automatically revoking an already earned achievement.
