Daily visits and streaks #

A visit counts when a signed-in member opens a supported community screen in a visible browser tab. Supported screens include activity, profiles, members, Groups, and Pages. Returning the tab to the foreground or restoring the page also attempts to record a visit. Members do not have to log out and back in.

Only one visit date counts per member per site calendar date, even with multiple tabs. A hidden page does not continuously collect visit rewards. Daylight-saving transitions are handled as calendar dates, rather than fixed 24-hour intervals.

The Daily visits configuration controls the daily points reward. Create separate achievements using Days visiting the community or Consecutive days visiting the community for milestones such as 10 visit days or a seven-day streak. Visits and streak progress continue even when daily visit points are disabled or zero.

Missing a calendar day restarts the current streak. It does not remove previously earned points or achievements. The former global recurring streak bonus is retired: a seven-day achievement with a bonus pays once for that achievement, not again at days 14, 21, and 28.

Calendar-date achievement steps #

1. Create or edit an automatic achievement and choose Visit on specific dates.
2. Set Date schedule to Specific dates, including the year, or Repeat every year.
3. Enter one date per line. Use YYYY-MM-DD for exact dates, or MM-DD for annual dates.
4. Choose Any listed date or Every listed date.
5. Review the generated requirement. The target is calculated from the selected matching rule.
6. Choose the bonus and activate when ready.

Up to 366 dates are accepted, and duplicate dates count once. For an annual Valentine’s Day visit, use 02-14 with Repeat every year and Any listed date. For two specific community event days, enter the two full dates and choose Every listed date.

Annual dates provide another opportunity to earn the same achievement in a later year; they do not make it repeatable. An annual Every listed date requirement can be completed across different years, but the same month/day does not count twice. February 29 qualifies only in leap years.

A member who visited earlier on activation day can qualify by returning after activation. Maintenance does not invent that return. To offer a new award each year, duplicate the achievement and use a year-specific name and exact dates.
