Configure activity points #
Open PeepSo → Configuration → Achievements. For each rule, choose whether it is enabled, set the points amount, and set its daily event limit where available. Save the configuration using the page’s save control.
These are installation defaults, not a guarantee of the settings currently saved on your site:

Points amounts accept whole numbers from 0 to 1,000. A zero amount gives no point change. Daily event limits accept whole numbers from 1 to 1,000. They count rewarded events, not points: five eligible posts worth two points each can add ten points. Daily visits have a fixed once-per-date limit.
For negative reactions, enter a positive magnitude in Points to deduct. The plugin applies the deduction. Neutral reactions do not change the content author’s points. Positive, neutral, and negative classifications come from PeepSo → Manage → Reactions.
Photo posts #
With the separate photo reward disabled, eligible photo posts use the ordinary posting rule. Enabling the separate reward replaces the ordinary rule for photo posts; it does not add a second payment. One photo post earns once regardless of the number of attached images. An enabled photo override set to zero makes those posts worth zero activity points.
Eligibility and repeated actions #
- New content earns only after publication; pending and scheduled content wait for publication or approval.
- Commenting on your own post, replying to your own comment, and reacting to your own content earn no points.
- A different member contributes received-comment points once per root conversation, including its replies. Further comments from that same person in that conversation do not add another received-comment reward.
- Eligible personal activity in groups is included. Page-scoped content, anonymous threads, reposts, avatar/cover announcements, group system announcements, and other system content are excluded from ordinary participation scoring.
- Publishing a story uses the story achievement criterion; it does not earn ordinary post or photo-post activity points.
- Changing an emoji does not create unlimited new rewards. Removing a reaction reverses its recorded contribution.
- Reporting content does not automatically deduct points.
Changes, removal, and restoration #
Changing a points rate affects future eligible events. It does not recalculate past rewards. Editing an old post or changing its attachments does not create a second publication reward.
Trashing or deleting qualifying content reverses recorded point contributions associated with it. Restoring recoverable content reapplies the original amounts. Temporary moderation/unpublishing preserves already recorded activity points, although unpublished content can stop contributing to unfinished achievement progress.
A reversal does not return a used daily reward slot. An event that reached a daily cap cannot be replayed the next day to collect missed points. Negative balances are possible because deductions and reversals preserve their full amounts.
