All four display switches are enabled by default. Turning off a specific widget or hover-card setting removes that placement. Disabling public collection visibility prevents other members from seeing that collection and its featured badges. Profile access rules continue to apply.
Members manage featured selections under Profile → About → Preferences → Achievements. They can use their latest visible awards automatically, choose specific awards, reorder them, or feature none. Hidden and revoked awards cannot be featured. Reducing the site limit preserves extra saved selections and their order.
Visitors see only visible earned achievements. Unfinished progress, hidden awards, private administrator reasons, and private content evidence are not part of the public collection. Public category counts are calculated from visible earned awards rather than exposing the owner’s hidden or unfinished total.
The current points balance is a separate profile-cover detail for people allowed to view the profile. Achievement visibility controls do not hide that balance.
Members retain access to their own collection when public visibility is disabled. Theme layout can affect widget placement: without the positioning script, or with an unrecognized theme override, the row can appear before the profile menu instead of directly beneath the name.
