This release focuses on the parts of a community that members touch every day: Stories, purchases, comments, notifications, translations, and the background jobs that keep everything moving.
Stories feel more connected now.
PeepSo 9.0.3.0 continues the work of making Stories feel like a natural part of the community experience. Members can react to Stories, authors can be notified when those reactions happen, and the profile avatar can become a direct entry point into a member’s active Stories.
Moderation also gets stronger. Stories now connect with PeepSo reporting workflows, including support for reported Stories that need to remain available for admin review. Pending and reported Story counters can also appear in the WordPress admin menu, making review queues easier to notice.

Translation coverage takes a broad step forward.
This release expands translation work across PeepSo Foundation and remaining plugins, including Social Login and Invitations, TutorLMS Integration, and MasterStudy Integration.
The milestone covers work across 20 languages: Indonesian, Dutch, Croatian, Spanish (Spain), Spanish (Colombia), Polish, German, French, Italian, Esperanto, Serbian, Danish, Portuguese (Brazil), Czech, Japanese, Hungarian, Chinese (China), Swedish, Norwegian Bokmal, and Finnish.
There are also targeted localization fixes. Scheduled post month names are now translatable, and dashboard activity graph labels and date/time behavior have been cleaned up for translated sites.
Most of the translations were done with the use of AI. We did spend quite some time to teach it to do translations in context so there shouldn’t be any issues with them. However, if you find any translations that are not ok, feel free to report them to us or even join our translator’s group.
Background processing is harder to duplicate by accident.
PeepSo 9.0.3.0 adds concurrency protection for important background jobs. Transient-based locks reduce duplicate processing when WordPress cron and external cron URLs overlap, or when multiple external requests hit the same processing endpoint at the same time.
This matters for work such as mail queues, notification queues, activity ranking rebuilds, GDPR export processing, inactive-user cleanup, and the super queue. Email Digest also gets specific fixes to prevent duplicate digest emails in overlapping cron and debug-trigger situations.
Local development compatibility improves too. PeepSo now initializes correctly when browser requests are served through PHP CLI subprocess environments such as Studio by Automattic, while still preserving the intended WP-CLI behavior.
Smaller fixes make daily use clearer.
Several everyday interactions were tightened. Hashtag parsing is stricter and more predictable. The activity stream now distinguishes “Show more comments” from “Show more replies.” Cover image actions now say “Remove” instead of “Delete” to better describe the action.
There are also fixes for Story upload cancellation, the Gecko customizer margin, duplicated community URLs, notification preference resets, block theme comment profile links, page moderator reply mentions, and hashtag dropdown behavior on post backgrounds.
- Hashtags now respect clearer word-boundary rules.
- Comments in block themes can link consistently to PeepSo profiles.
- Page moderator replies now mention the page name instead of the moderator name.
- Notification reset behavior works even when older users are missing stored notification metadata.
