New Release: 6.4.3.0

All Foundation widgets are now available as blocks. This update provides all the options of the widgets in the block, enabling a more dynamic and personalized social networking experience on WordPress sites. However, it is still in Beta, and we strongly suggest using widgets for production sites.

Compatibility

WordPress 6.6 is scheduled for release on July 16th, but we have already provided compatibility for the Release Candidate versions to ensure a smooth upgrade to WordPress 6.6 when it becomes available. We also took this opportunity to update WooCommerce compatibility to version 9.0.0.

What Else Is New?

We improved the performance of friends database queries. This enhancement ensures faster and more efficient data retrieval, leading to a smoother user experience when managing and interacting with friends features. A fix has been implemented to prevent hashtags from secret and private groups from appearing in popular hashtags. This update maintains the privacy and confidentiality of group content, preserving the integrity of private discussions. For a complete list of changes, please refer to our changelog.

Pages Plugin When?

When it’s ready ๐Ÿ™‚

We have made significant strides toward this release. The backend is now fully functional, with all options working as intended. However, the frontend and overall visual design still require considerable work. We are currently focusing all our attention on refining these aspects to ensure a polished and seamless user experience once Pages plugin is available.

I am experienced in various social networks and platforms. Among other things, Iโ€™m the guy you turn to for figuring out the featureโ€™s details and resolving issues. I hail from Novi Sad, Serbia. My journey with Open Source had taken me across the globe to Bali, Indonesia, where I had spent several years working & evolving with the base PeepSo Team. I was involved with planning and development of very early versions of PeepSo and helped pushing the product forward. Although I tend to engage full workaholic mode, I am essentially a laid back person. Iโ€™m also a hardcore gamer and I enjoy playing video games with my girlfriend whenever I catch precious little spare time. I enjoy traveling and learning about new cultures and surroundings.

Another great release. Happy to hear about progress being made for pages. ๐Ÿ™‚ For those wanting to use classic widgets of other WP plugins there is a solution:

Restore the classic widgets screen as a new menu item without replacing new block-based widgets.

Sounds great. Meanwhile, I really wish the corresponding plugin updates would get to my WP updater at the same time as the foundation update. Thank you!

@peepso_user_160226(Peter Korchnak) that can never happen, because foundation is served from wp.org, while paid add-ons are served from our servers. There will always be a little pause between updates are synced, but usually it’s just a couple of minutes.

We did have some releases where it took several hours, but that was something out of our control. It usually takes just couple of minutes for updates to be synced, and we usually post a blog an hour or two after the release is actually live for this very reason.

@peepso_user_13(Siniลกa Kriลกan) Understood. I just wish the add-ons would remain functional even if they’re one version behind foundation. But now that I know all this, I’ll be sure to update all at the same time. Keep improving, this is a fantastic product.
