PeepSo 9.0.4.0 Has Arrived, and It Is a Big One

PeepSo 9.0.4.0

We are incredibly excited to announce PeepSo 9.0.4.0, a release focused on making your community more expressive, more useful, more connected, and easier to manage. This update brings a powerful new integration, meaningful improvements for admins and community managers, and a strong round of fixes that make PeepSo feel smoother across the board.

The headline of this release is something we are especially thrilled about: the new PeepSo and Awecommerce integration. This is a major step toward bringing community and commerce closer together, giving site owners a better way to connect product activity, member profiles, and community engagement inside one experience.

PeepSo – Awecommerce integration plugin is already available in PeepSo Ultimate Bundle. If you have an active license, check PeepSo installer. If you have a Community Bundle, you can always upgrade to PeepSo Ultimate Bundle.

Introducing the PeepSo and Awecommerce Integration

The new PeepSo and Awecommerce integration plugin opens up exciting possibilities for communities built around products, stores, creators, memberships, and customer relationships. Instead of keeping commerce and community in separate corners of your site, this integration helps bring them together in a much more natural way.

Product-related activity can now look better inside the PeepSo stream, with improved activity post styling, support for product images, and visibility options for product details such as price, category, image, and description. Site owners get more control over what appears, while members get a cleaner and more engaging experience.

We have also improved the Awecommerce profile integration styling across profile tabs, making the experience feel more polished and consistent. This is exactly the kind of integration we love building: practical, useful, and designed to help communities become more active around the things they care about.

Speaking of Awecommerce, you can learn more about it here. And here’s the announcement post.

Awecommerce is already integrated with PeepSo User Limits plugin too

User Limits now understands Awecommerce memberships. That means site admins can create PeepSo visibility and access rules based on whether a member has, or does not have, a selected Awecommerce membership product. For example, you can require a specific membership before a user can access certain community areas, or hide parts of the community from members who already belong to a particular plan.

The integration was built to fail safely. If Awecommerce is inactive, existing membership-based rules are preserved but ignored until Awecommerce is available again, and admins will see a clear warning instead of silently wondering why rules are not applying.

You can build a full-blown membership website with multi tiered access. User Limits integration that’s built-in the plugin itself is just a cherry on top. You can build a whole membership system where your users purchasing the membership have access to pages, posts, downloads, products and membership levels. Your imagination is the limit.

New Features That Make Communities More Engaging

PeepSo 9.0.4.0 introduces a new emoji picker for posts, comments, replies, and messages. It is searchable, localized, and built for everyday conversation. Members can now express tone, emotion, humor, and personality more easily without leaving the PeepSo experience.

Groups also receive an important new activity feature. When a join request is approved, PeepSo can now create a dedicated stream post showing that a new member was approved. This makes group growth more visible and gives communities a stronger sense of movement and momentum.

Even better, this behavior is controlled by its own setting. Site owners who want that extra activity and visibility can keep it enabled, while communities that prefer a quieter stream can turn it off.

Smarter Admin Tools and Better Control

Admins now get a much better view of member storage usage. The old storage column only counted Photos, which meant other uploads could be missed. In PeepSo 9.0.4.0, storage reporting moves into Core with a new PeepSo Storage column that can count storage across supported plugins, including Photos, Videos, Audio, and Files.

The new storage view also includes a per-plugin breakdown where available, so admins can understand not just how much space a member is using, but where that usage comes from. It is clearer, more extensible, and much more useful for growing communities.

The inactive user removal feature has also been improved in a big way. Admins can now choose which community roles are affected, set inactivity periods in days or months, and protect individual accounts from automatic deletion without changing their role or permissions.

This gives community managers far more confidence when cleaning up inactive accounts. Valuable members, moderators, pending users, and special cases can be handled with much more care.

Stories Feel Better Too

PeepSo Stories get several refinements in this release. Story content now respects lower safe-space requirements in app contexts, helping the viewing experience feel cleaner and more comfortable on devices where interface controls may overlap the bottom of the screen.

We also polished visual details around Story reactions and link buttons, making the Stories experience feel more refined and consistent.

Important Fixes Across PeepSo

PeepSo 9.0.4.0 includes a strong set of fixes based on real community and support feedback. Stories email notification subjects are now properly prepared for translation, which is especially important for non-English communities using PeepSo Stories.

Groups now behave correctly when posting to a group from the main activity stream and the excluded group categories setting is empty. The expected groups are available again, making posting into groups more reliable.

Friend request notifications have been corrected so they no longer show the anonymous user name in affected situations. Members should now see the proper user name where expected.

We also fixed an issue where comments were not fully displayed while editing on single post pages, improved User Limits allowlist behavior for member listings, and corrected invalid date output in reporting when custom date formats did not include a year.

A Release Full of Momentum

PeepSo 9.0.4.0 is the kind of release we love shipping. It adds something genuinely exciting with the PeepSo and Awecommerce integration, makes communities more expressive with the emoji picker, gives admins better tools, improves group activity, polishes Stories, and fixes real issues reported by real users.

This release is about connection: connecting members with each other, connecting communities with commerce, and connecting site owners with better tools to manage everything they are building. We are extremely excited to get PeepSo 9.0.4.0 into your hands.

Take the Best from what we offer. All PeepSo plugins and features in One Bundle.
