FAQ

How does the app work?

Our app is a web wrapper (WebView). The native part powers the header, sidebar, notification pop-ups and the bottom navigation. It also routes your website traffic within itself, including handling notifications.

Does it have push notifications?

Yes, all of PeepSo notifications are sent to the app via push. That includes pop-up notifications, sound, vibration, and badge count. Clicking a notification will direct you to the relevant content in the blink of an eye.

How will it be branded?

The app is completely white label, meaning it is completely tailored to your brand – it will have a name, icon, splash image, logo, and colors of your choice.

What will be the app layout?

In general, all apps will follow a similar design:

App header with logo, notification icons and user avatar. The color, logo, and size are based on your preferences. The user avatar will open the Sidebar.
Sidebar – available for logged-in users, loads user cover, avatar and profile/community navigation
Bottom tab navigation – the buttons users will use to switch between major app features. We can hide some of these from users who are not logged in (for example Profile and Messages)

Can I choose the bottom tab navigation?

The only required tab is the Community tab, but we also recommend having a Messages and Profile tab, so we can route notifications and menu clicks there.

We recommend at most 5-6 tabs in the bottom tab navigation, perhaps more if you choose not to display any labels and just have icons there.

Do I need an Apple developer account?

We can deploy the apps via our own Apple developer account at no extra charge.

Do I need a Google developer account?

Android: we will provide you with APK file which you can then give to your users. The Google Play Store submission process is not included in the price.

If you’d like to have your app on Google Play Store, you will need your own developer account. We can handle your submissions at $99 per submission (that includes updates).

What is not included?

Google Play Store submission – You can submit the app yourself. We also provide an additional service at $99 per Play Store submission should you want us to take care of the submission for you.

An active PeepSo Ultimate Bundle subscription is required for the development and functionality of the mobile app. PeepSo Ultimate Bundle is not included with the Mobile App Development Service and must be purchased separately. Any and all Mobile App Development Service is subject to Mobile App Policy.
