PeepSo 2.3.2 comes after a longer wait due to important holidays in Malaysia and Indonesia which have slowed us down a little bit. Nevertheless, we maintain an average of two releases per month.
What’s new in PeepSo
Based on a popular request, we added an “Edit All” / “Save All” button combo to user profiles, to make editing multiple fields easier and faster with less clicks. The field validation and saving works for each field separately, so making one mistake does not prevent other fields from saving.
In a continued effort to make PeepSo 2.x transition as smooth as possible to the upcoming version 3, we migrated the WordFilter logic to Client Side Rendering (CSR) which means the calculations are performed in the browser, not on the server. Offloading frontend-centric tasks to JavaScript helps us separate essential logic from presentation and making the future APIs as client-agnostic and raw data oriented as possible.
We improved the performance of Groups plugin when faced with thousands of groups in the admin panel, improved some interface elements (bigger avatars, better registration layout when “confirm e-mail” field is enabled and fixed some other minor bugs. You can see the full changelog here.
Gecko Theme
This release of Gecko theme brings you support for even more Google fonts: Bai Jamjuree, Chakra Petch, Kodchasan, Mali, Spectral SC, Saira. You can change the fonts for your site in the backend > Gecko > Customizer > General.
On the improvements front we did manage to make the blog grid much better with one column setup on mobile devices. It’ll provide a greater experience for you and your members.
We’re also shipping fixes to existing features like issues with adding logo, footer CSS and profile full width when viewing PeepSo user profiles. You can see the full changelog here.
