Bugfix Release: PeepSo 2.5.2 and Gecko 2.5.2.0

This is a minor bugfix release, although it is recommended for everyone who already upgraded to PeepSo 2.5.1.

This release ships several small bug fixes related to the Client Side Rendering and REST API engines. Most issues are very minor but we decided not to wait another week before fixing them.

2.5.2 delivers improved link rendering, including a fix for “multi-level” TLDs (like co.uk or com.pl) and Markdown support for links placed in bold. We also fixed comments sometimes not showing in the single hashtag view.

We also added one small feature that improves the user experience. Admin can now decide to make the main Community filter non-sticky. It means if the user visits the Community page after a full page load (for example, after clicking a menu item) it will always go back to the default state instead of remembering the last user choice. This was added because some community admins and users found the sticky filter confusing after introducing the automatically applied and sticky “saved posts” filter. See the changelog here.

Gecko Theme

Our beloved theme got 2 new features that you can find in the backend of your site > Gecko > Options > Blog: Grid (2 column) layout on Archives, Categories & Search results. Second is: limit access to Gecko Page & Profile layout options to Admin only. There’s also fixes and improvements to existing features. See the changelog here.
