Embark on a new era of content moderation with PeepSo! Gone are the days of backend moderation. As a WordPress Administrator or Community Administrator, you’ve always had the power to moderate content from the frontend, whether it’s deleting or editing posts, or blocking and banning misbehaving users. However, the reporting feature always tied you to the backend. With PeepSo 6.4.0.0, we’re rewriting the rules. Say goodbye to legacy reporting moderation in the backend. Now, reporting is seamlessly integrated into the frontend experience. Join us as we unveil a more intuitive and efficient approach to content moderation.
Reporting Moderation on Frontend
While regular users could always report any type of content from the frontend, it was very inconvenient for community administrators as they had to enter the backend of your website and moderate reports from there. PeepSo 6.4.0.0 moves away from backend moderation and transforms activity streams into a multifunctional tool that can handle reported content as well.
Once reported content is detected, you can expand the reports to see exactly who the reporter was, what the reason for the report is, and even the custom message sent by the reporter.
If someone reports old content that is not immediately visible in the stream, you can find the new “Moderation” filter in the activity stream, which will list all reported content on the site that requires moderation.
If someone report a user profile, a “Profile reported” tag will show up next to the display name of that user. This is visible only to administrators. User that is reported will not see this change in their display name.
And lastly, you will have the option to moderate the content by either permanently deleting it or ignoring the reports.
Social Login and Invitations Configuration Rework
Social Login and Invitations have been around for a while, but because it was a separate product, it never really felt like an integral part of PeepSo. It had its own menu with settings outside of PeepSo. With this new release, Social Login is now moved into the “Manage” section of PeepSo, making it feel like a proper, native PeepSo add-on.
What Else Is New?
PeepSo 6.4.0.0 is a major release. It includes plenty of under-the-hood changes, such as a completely new license check system, which we had big issues with in the last few months. We have also included bug fixes, including but not limited to fixing outdated WooCommerce templates, translation improvements, and many more. As always, for the full list of changes, take a look at our changelog.
