The last minor release of PeepSo 4.0.x in preparation for the major 4.1.0.0 later this month.
Third Party Theme Compatibility
We have shifted some effort to third party theme compatibility, which usually means colors and styles improvements to make things look and align better. We test PeepSo against 20 most popular free themes (and some paid) to make sure our plugin looks well even if you choose not to use our Gecko theme.
Elementor compatibility
This release contains some small fixes and improvements related to Elementor. Most recent small bug led to the PeepSo Photos widgets malfunctioning inside Elementor containers.
“Loss of content” warning
You will now be warned if you navigate away from an unsubmitted content. This is to ensure nobody accidentally goes to a different page without actually submitting the comment they wrote.
Other improvements
We implemented some quality of life improvements around the video uploads, fixed an issue WP Adverts “Maps & Locations” add-on.
4.1.0.0 is coming soon
The next major PeepSo release – 4.1.0.0 – is scheduled for the coming weeks. It will ship WordPress 5.9 and PHP 8.1 compatibility improvements, ability to sort posts by most recently commented, profile fields that can only be seen and/or edited by admins and additional security measures such as inability to use an email as the username.
